I'm up to the final zone, **** that's hard. -_-
The saving is annoing since I got one of the emeralds then I had to restart and I lost it. Also, if you lose a life on the first zone of an area, ou lose it forever so I had 6 lives and a continue, down to one life, no continues in the final stage.
The match is also quite annoying as you can see the weapon ammo but no panel. And what's the point of that pressing 1, 2, 3, etc to get the weapons. I like combining better. Pretty much, there are new things, but it's lost its originalilty in Match and you can't edit it since there are no configurations yet except for the beta ones in the Source.
Ugh.

That was a bug. They've created a patch that fixes it now.

Single-Player:
The Single-Player is very good. The new locations of the emblems are tricky and the new stages are very good too. There are some problems though. First, the last special stage is just cheap; how can you expect someone to get those rings in such a small place, man, you can hardly jump and you'll either get crushed or fall into the pit. I know it's the last special stage but really...
Second is the Last Boss. This boss hasn't been recolored to the good palettes or simply has a color problem. Then it has a very annoying move that not only glues you in the ground and can't get away before it hits you, but it glues you as well if your out of the ground which can lead into the Pit of Death. And then there's a very funny, but **** up way to hit it (and you can't just jump, since it's going to hit you). Of course, Sonic and Tails can easily do this since they a jump high enough to avoid to get hit, but Knuckles has to go into the falling platforms to avoid getting hit, which doesn't matter since Knuckles IS always going to fall by doing this anyways.
Multi-Player:
Match/Tag/Hide And Seek:
The main improvement of this version is the Match system: Say Goodbye to the mixed ring combos! Say Hello to Ring Weapons (and Ammo) and new rings, but though, it could've be better to have Weapons and aAmmo all at once instead of separated, but oh well...
Capture The Flag:
CTF has some minor changes, such as Team Rings and Team Boxes, but it stays the same and still plays very good.
Race/Classic Race:
Race has also some improvements and now it isn't always a thokfest (A.K.A. always thok-ing): Most of the Races now have platforms that stop the thokfest, and so it's better now.
Overall: It sure is MUCH MUCH more better than the last version, which I congratulate them for having work on this for 3 years.

Its great.. It gets difficult in Egg Rock but now is my favourite zone! And Knuckles... It Rocks! I have no idea how they can make him so great!

Eh. Not a fan of this.
The main thing is the level design. None of the new Zones (Red Volcano doesn't count; it was created in 1.09) don't feel like they have the heart and soul put into them like the originals. They're mostly bland, frustrating at some points, and lack gameplay and detail. There's many repetitive puzzles and gimmicks are always overused to the point you just don't want to play anymore.

I don't care, really. Even though there's some secrets, the levels are still bland and boring. The gameplay in the levels is so lacking that I literally haven't replayed them even once.

One of the reasons I don't replay them is the difficulty.
Oh, and the stupid puzzles too. Its like, HA HA you fell so I'll bore you to death.(DSZ)

The only thing I hate about the new version is the Match system. In 1.09.4, I was so addicted to playing Match. Now, the unwieldy key combinations and needlessly complex weapons system has pretty much killed off my interest. These days, I only ever check what's online in the hopes of finding a server that, if I join, will enable me to download a previously unknown WAD.

Hum, you could try change weapon = scroll key. So you don't have to have 7 different keys for weapons.

I like it, but it could be a bit better. I loved Chaos Mode from 1.08 and previous, wish they'd bring it back.

I'm not so annoyed about Match anymore; I'm starting to get used to it. However, there are two other things I'm annoyed about in 2.0:
1. Character design nerfage. Man, flexibility in the creation of custom characters has really fell, and there's now only a little variation past characters like Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles unless you do some serious soccing...and even that has been reduced a little bit. The good news, however, is that the main reason for this shift is to make it easier to really step up the flexibility in the final version.
2. The new version SIGSEGVs more often, most notably in areas where the level is to wide and too open. The only way to remain secure from those errors is to use OpenGL, for which you need a port.
Other than that however, the new version is awesome. The levels definitely lived up to my expectations, and plenty of new features are really good.

OK I recently ran into Spazzo online, and he said there where many BIG fixes coming to SRB2. A few levels will be added and emerald hunt can be used. Then bugs with the levels are being fixed.

Its Great But the Game Is still pretty short.... then again all sonic games take less then a hour or 2. It took a long time to make this many zones for the team.... why?
Deep Sea: Longest Zone is the game.. because its a water stage
Castle Eggman: Its still not that castle-ish but its not a button maze :}
Arid Canyon: This zone is good... ROPEBELTS!!
Blue Mountain: Its very Volcano-ish... The lava is hard for some reason.. Shouldnt you sink/drown in lava?, Act 2 looks short very short.
Egg Rock: This zone is eh ok.. But its annoying at some points, I like the gimmicks.
Special stages: Some reused.. Its perfect the way it is, as long as they dont replace them in future versions
Srb1 Remake: Way to easy.. Theres not even bosses.
Neo Aerial Garden: NO NOT AGAIN O_O the horrors of the bottomless pits and jetties.
2.1 should be out soon I HOPE... I wanna see BMZ2 and DCZ1&2
