I don't know...but I would assume not. Most people just use a cable package or TiVo to record stuff.

I want to record something like a video game, though.
I HAVE seen videos recorded directly from the TV with a program. Maybe it has a different name?

I've seen that thing in the upper left corner that says, "Unregistered HyperCam 2" or whatever, but I don't know what that is. Is that what you're talking about?

No, it's a device that people use to record what's on the television. Not a downloadable program.

Even though I haven't bothered posting it, you can just record onto a DVD then transfer it onto the computer.

i think that people use capture cards, i don't know much about it though
