XSpeedGodX.wad (OMFG A FC)

Hey guys, great to be back! I hadn't been on for a while because well umm... idk well while I was away, I created my very own fan character! I know what most of you are thinking, (Omfg it's another recolor....) well..yea pretty much, but I think the recolor is more like senku's recolor so yea. Although I have no screenies, I do have a beta.
His ability is Spring Thok and also, I used Bolt as a placeholder for the beta so all you nubs need to stop saying "OMFG XSGX THEIR ITZ A MOTA FIKA GLITCHAZ DAT MAKZ HIM LOKZ LIKA SuPA ZONIK".

Interesting. But you might want to reclassify it as a remake of Shadow or something, because with a few color changes, it would probably be the greatest Shadow remake ever.

What? I actually recolored Sonic... >.<
Well I hope my wad will be as great as senku's recolor... =O

Ugh, slow progress...
Anyways, I might release another demo probably by next week...
So...yea....

When I try to load it in, it doesn't work at all. It just loads Sonic instead.

This is why I should NEVER use bolt at a placeholder >.<
It only works in net games...
Just make a server and test it out...
I will fix that thing maybe in the next NEXT beta.

Yeah, you need to edit the MAINCFG lump to load the proper skin.

Okay, this WAD needs some serious work on properly aligning the frames. It doesn't look good when the character is shaking as it runs or jumps.

Otherwise, pretty solid progress--though of course it's not that original.

It's like that because I haven't finished all of the jump sprites. The run sprites are going to be changed though because I don't like it. Have any suggestions?

(Ontopic) I'm glad a new Beta is out. I will try him ASAP.

Edit: I tested the new beta. But why not change the color to silver or green. And super color maybe steel blue or peach. Oh, and maybe some pants. (lol)

Im pretty new to wads and stuff and hope to create my own character (once i figure out how to get the sprites), but what i am, is an expert spriter. i personally enjoy Speedgod, Not just look's, but his gameplay. i do agree with fawfulfan on some of the problems. but i dont really see it as /that/ much of a problem. I'll post here if u need someone to make it so your not double posting lol. Keep up the goodwork.

This is the final beta before I finally finish this wad. There are a few bugs like bad sprite color remaps and such. I will get my hands and kill them later, don't worry. Also, spring thok removed because of 2.0.6 being a big jerk. :<
I think spring thok would come back once I got the soc done so don't worry.

EDIT: It'll be nice if someone post around here with some criticism and support and whatnot... Kayasarin...Fawfulfan... D:

I'm liking the new update. But i also think he gives a different feel compared to how he felt with the spring thok. It took a moment to adjust too lol. Maybe it was just me, but he felt a little slower. Pretty good though, keep up the good work.
